Introduction
Most Muslims are familiar with the epic stories of Prophet Musa crossing the sea or Prophet Yusuf’s rise from prison to palace. But buried deep within Surah Al-Baqarah lies a rarely discussed Quranic narrative that deserves far more attention than it receives. It is the story of Uzayr, a righteous man who questioned how Allah could resurrect a ruined city—and in response, Allah caused him to die for one hundred years before bringing him back to life . This is not just a tale of ancient wonder. It is a profound lesson about divine power, certainty in resurrection, and the mercy hidden in life’s most bewildering moments. For parents seeking to ignite a deep love for the Quran in their children, this uncommon story offers a gateway to discussions about faith that will linger for a lifetime.
