Daily Duas are essential for seeking protection, guidance and peace. Learn the importance and significance of everyday Duas and supplications in Muslims’ lives.
Importance of Everyday Duas
Dua is the best form of worship and an important part of Islamic faith. According to the Holy Quran, Dua is a great deed that pleases Allah (SWT). Here are few of the verses of Holy Quran that address believers to make Dua:
"Call upon Me; I will respond to you"
"I answer the invocation of the invoker when he invokes Me"
According to a Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH):
"The most excellent worship is Dua".
These verses of the Holy Quran and Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) highlight the importance of Dua. It is the best way for guidance and forgiveness. These also show that there are numerous benefits of daily prayers in this life and the Hereafter.
Why Do We Make Dua?
The strength and power of the Dua is beyond human measure. Muslims make dua to humbly request in front of Almighty Allah (SWT). It is an act of invoking the creator of the Universe, and He, indeed, is the only one to fulfil one’s Dua.
In a Hadith, it is mentioned that a person is most closest to Allah (SWT) when he is in prostration (Sujud). Therefore, it is highly recommended to make as many Duas as possible during the daily prayers.
Everyday prayers or supplication guides a person in every aspect of their life and Dua teaches us to be humble in front of Allah (SWT) and is the best way to eliminate arrogance and pride. Dua opens the door to Allah’s abundant mercy. Invoking anyone, other than Allah, is considered a grave sin (shirk).
Muslims are encouraged to turn to Allah for endless blessings, mercy, forgiveness and to solve every problem of their lives. Regular Duas deepens one’s spirituality and connection with Allah (SWT). Learn the everyday Duas and prayers from the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah.
